Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 November 2026. These terms govern use of the JMS Academy (Jamiah Minhajis Sunnah) website and online portal operated from Poonamallee, Chennai.

1. About the portal

JMS Academy provides Islamic education and related services through this portal, including course information, online admission, fee payment, class schedules and recordings, Zoom / live class access, examinations, attendance, leave requests, books, Hifz progress tools, self-paced online courses, certificates, and administrative dashboards for authorised staff.

2. Eligibility and accounts

• You must provide accurate information when applying for admission or registering.
• Portal logins are personal. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account.
• We may suspend or terminate access for misuse, unpaid dues where access rules apply, or security concerns.
• Students may be required to complete profile / bio updates before full portal use.

3. Admission applications

Submitting an admission form does not guarantee admission. Applications may be approved, rejected, or held pending review. Duplicate applications for the same course by the same National ID may be blocked. Course policy and institutional identity details are described separately in our Course Policy.

4. Fees and payments

• Fee requests raised for your course / batch appear in the student Pay Fees area.
• Payments may be made online via our payment gateway (displayed under JMS Academy) or other methods we enable (e.g. offline proof subject to verification).
• Pending or unapproved payments do not count as settled until verified by the academy.
• Overdue unpaid fees may restrict parts of the student portal until cleared or permission is granted.
• Admission / course fee refund rules follow Course Policy and academy discretion.

5. Classes, Zoom, exams, and academic use

Class lists, schedules, Zoom links, quizzes, and exam uploads are provided for enrolled students. Content (videos, notes, question papers, books) is for personal educational use only. You may not redistribute, sell, or publicly re-host academy materials without written permission. Exam submissions must be your own work unless otherwise instructed.

6. Notifications and PWA

If you allow browser notifications and install the app, we may send push reminders about fees, exams, Zoom classes, and related portal events. You can disable notifications in your browser or device settings. Installing the PWA does not change these Terms.

7. Acceptable use

• Do not attempt to access another user’s account or restricted admin areas.
• Do not upload malware, abusive content, or false payment proofs.
• Do not disrupt servers, scrape the site aggressively, or reverse-engineer security controls.
• Maintain respectful Islamic etiquette toward staff and peers in all portal interactions.

8. Intellectual property

Site branding, curriculum materials, software, and logos belong to JMS Academy / As Sunnah Educational & Charitable Trust or their licensors. All rights reserved except where expressly granted for student learning.

9. Disclaimers

The portal is provided “as is.” We aim for reliable access but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Certificates and programs are issued by the institution as described in Course Policy and are not government university degrees unless explicitly stated otherwise.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, JMS Academy is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the portal, payment gateway downtime, or third-party services (hosting, SMS, push, payment processors), except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after posting changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes may also be announced through the portal.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Tamil Nadu (Chennai) shall have subject-matter jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections.
